Who Is Kasey McKillip?

A big part of my life has been spent working as an MRI technologist. Over the years, I’ve learned that the job is just as much about people as it is about the technical side of imaging. A lot of patients come in feeling nervous or uncomfortable, especially if they don’t know what to expect, so I’ve always tried to keep things calm, straightforward, and as easygoing as possible. Some days are busy from start to finish, but I’ve come to appreciate the unpredictability that comes with working in healthcare.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time trying to get outdoors whenever I can. Living in the Pacific Northwest makes that pretty easy. I’ve always enjoyed being around the water, finding new places to explore, or just taking advantage of a quiet afternoon with decent weather. The older I get, the more I appreciate slowing things down once in a while and stepping away from the noise of everyday life.

Sports have always been a big part of my routine, too, especially during football season. I’m a longtime Seahawks fan, which means I’ve experienced plenty of exciting wins along with a fair amount of frustration over the years. Still, I enjoy everything that comes with being a fan, from watching games with friends to keeping up with the conversations that seem to take over every season.

At home, my three dogs, Debbie, Fred, and Wilson, keep things interesting. Anyone with dogs probably understands how quickly they become the center of your daily routine without you even realizing it. There’s usually at least one of them causing some kind of chaos, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
